Dear Birth Mother

Dear Birth Mother,

Let us begin by saying thank you. We don’t yet know your story but you are either considering an adoption plan or have chosen to place your child for adoption. We hope that we can be that family. We cannot begin to imagine how hard this process is for you and how much we admire you for trying to make the best decision possible. We believe that we have been called to give a child a loving home. It appears that you have been called to give a loving family a child. We cannot succeed without each other but with God’s help we can all certainly provide a loving home and family for this child. Whatever level of involvement you wish to have with the child, please know that we will always hold a special place in our hearts for you.

We are excited to share our life with you. We long to be parents and have not been able to do this on our own. Even despite that fact, we have longed to adopt for many years, to provide a child a loving and stable home. We both love children, Walter is an elementary school librarian and I am a registered nurse.

We have a loving extended family that we are in close contact with and who are supporting us in our journey.

We know the decision to make an adoption plan is not an easy one. We are open to maintaining whatever contact is comfortable with you.

Though we know we are not perfect, we promise to be the best parents we can be and to love this child unconditionally as God has loved us. Our faith carries us through tough times and good times and we know that God will be there with all of us throughout this process.

God Bless you....

Laura and WalterWe cannot succeed without each other but with God’s help we can all certainly provide a loving home and family for this child. Whether you chose to involve yourself in the child’s life or not, please know that we will always hold a special place in our hearts for you.
